    Amy Wyatt

Amy received her Licensed Massage Therapist training from Parkland Community College in Champaign, IL and has been licensed since February 2019.  She began her massage therapy practice the following month and in April 2019 joined Walk Chiropractic, Acupuncture & Massage in Mahomet, IL.  Since then, she has been letting her clients be her best teachers.

Amy’s passion for the profession is founded on her belief that individuals truly have the power to heal themselves when they allow themselves to be open to that possibility and when they are willing to invest in natural, holistic practices that restore balance and order within the body and mind, as massage seeks to do.  She also believes that things like age or prognoses shouldn’t hold us back from doing activities we love and the key is routine self-care.

Amy’s clients often appreciate her strength and precision when it comes to problem areas.  She also makes it part of her job to listen to clients’ needs and preferences so that they leave feeling completely satisfied.  She is able to adjust her pressure and technique with the client always in mind, making sure they feel safe and comfortable at all times.  Generally, Amy’s massage attempts to put the body into full relaxation mode – an invitation for healing and restoration – while also working specifically on tension areas that are either caused by stress, cause stress, or both!

With a background in social work, Amy is highly experienced at working with people and meeting each individual where they are at.  While supporting adults with developmental disabilities, she learned how beneficial massage can be for those with sensory input conditions and enjoys having them as clients.

Amy is a member of the American Massage Therapy Association.  She is also a certified Hoop Dance Coach and offers entertainment and lessons for hire to inspire creative expression and healing through movement.  She is a proud mother of two and has two cats that keep her entertained.  Amy finds solace in nature and music and thrives on connecting with others and touching lives.

Rebecca Bahnke, LMT recently joined the Walk Chiropractic and Massage Therapy team. She graduated from the Parkland College Massage Therapy Program in 2018.

Rebecca is an experienced healthcare provider: first, as an occupational therapist and more recently, as a licensed massage therapist. She offers client-focused therapeutic massages individually tailored to address both relaxation and physical needs for decreased pain, improved posture, flexibility, and a sense of well-being. Her insight and knowledge enables her to “fuse” and harmonize her professional skills creating custom therapeutic interactions. Her extensive experience as an occupational therapist facilitates her ability to match a client’s self-care bodywork program with daily living activities.

Rebecca provides a range of massage and bodywork approaches including Swedish massage, myofascial release, cupping, and trigger point interventions. As a devoted lifelong learner, she continues to integrate new techniques into her daily practice.

Rebecca practices taiji and qigong. She enjoys summer water aerobics, kayaking and restorative yoga.

Kayla Fitch returned to the Walk Chiropractic team in March 2020. She graduated from the Parkland College massage program in 2013, and first began working with the Walk Chiropractic team in March 2014. Between then and now, Kayla has worked in different therapeutic settings, and was a lead therapist at her last clinic. She enjoys helping fellow therapists, new and experienced alike, reach their career goals and pass on her experience and knowledge that she’s gained so far.

Kayla works primarily in pain management massage, aiming to improve your overall quality of life and achieve better structural balance for those dealing with chronic pain. She may use techniques such as deep tissue, myofascial and/or precision work depending on your specific needs. Utilizing methods from postural alignment therapy and Alexander Technique, she can also help you alleviate certain imbalances in the shoulders or the hips. Kayla will work within your own comfort levels during your session and can provide massage techniques from light pressure all the way to deep.

In her spare time, Kayla enjoys spending time with her family and friends (including the furry-four-legged ones!), being outside hiking, working out, or doing something creative and artsy.
